The project links with organisations not traditionally associated with delivery of sport; Housing Associations, community associations, resident and tenant groups, youth offending and youth support schemes, supported housing projects etc. It works with the Sport England Stronger and Safer Communities Theme Implementation Group, who support the projects’ work with other agencies who are tasked to deliver the RESPECT programme in the target areas to maximise partnerships and opportunities. Beginning in many communities as small neighbourhood projects the majority of StreetGames projects in the region are now local authority wide and mainstreamed as part of local authority sports development or young Peoples service provision.

The 2010 North West StreetGames will be a two day event held at Sportcity Manchester on Friday 20th August and at Wavertree Sports Park Liverpool on Friday 27th August 2010 and there are many other sub-regional sports festivals taking place in the build up amongst 29 StreetGames projects in the region.
